Our Core Values

What is important to The Pursuit?

People At The Pursuit

Passionate Worship
We will celebrate! Gathering to sing to the Lord should be one of the most joyful times in our lives and should flow from a heart that worships daily. It is our desire that people would praise God with all of their hearts out of a genuine love for Him, without being hindered by tradition and fear.

Unchurched People
We will be a safe place where the unchurched and seekers can come over and over again and investigate God in a way that will not embarrass or intimidate them. No matter where people are on their spiritual journey, it is our desire that they would find encouragement and hope through our services.

Relevant Bible-Teaching
We believe that the Bible is the most practical and beneficial book on the planet. If the Bible says it, we will teach it; if it doesn’t, we won’t. We will explain the Bible in such a way that people can apply it to their lives, not just increase in knowledge.

Stewardship of our Resources
We believe that the church should be the example for financial integrity. Our budget, including a listing of all salary amounts, is public information. However, we regard what is given to the church as a private matter between the individual and God. Only the accounting department will have knowledge of an individual’s contributions.

Unity in our Ministries
We desire to be a church where people of all ages can celebrate together. It will be a priority to provide opportunities for families to grow together as well as to create ministries designed for different age groups.

Intimacy in our Relationships
We believe the most growth occurs in a small group where people can get to know one another and can help each other become more like Jesus. Although our large meetings are important, the small groups will be the priority.

Training for Ministry
We desire to be a church that plants other churches and sends people to other ministries both locally and globally. God has given each person in our church a gift. We are committed to developing everyone who joins The Pursuit to grow God’s kingdom, not just our church.
